A University official employee currently charged with ‘attending on the Vice-Chancellor on ceremonial occasions and carrying out the Vice-Chancellor’s orders’. The Marshal seems to have inherited some at least of the functions of the Yeoman Bedell and is active in the Senate House and in the organisation of the University Constables.
